DOD/GOV'T - CUSTOM COTS

The defense department, branches of the military, and government organizations are some of the largest users of storage technology and most of them have removable and portable storage tightly integrated within existing workflows.  Their current removable solutions are reaching "end-of-life" or becoming obsolete due to lack of performance. Magnetic media (floppy, ZIP, etc.) lack capacity, tapes (DAT, AIT, LTO, etc.) are either obsolete or lack the speed of random access, optical (CD, DVD, MO, etc.) lack capacity, speed, and extendibility. Audavi has utilized its core HardTape technology to provide custom COTS and form, fit, function solutions of rugged, removable, portable storage for all of these organizations.

 TAPELESS WORKFLOW SOLUTIONS

  Acquire - Transport - Ingest - Edit - Playout - Copy - Archive

Recording to a MediaPac/HardTape cartridge is only the first step in a tapeless workflow. The ability to transport, ingest, edit, playout, copy, store, and archive your content without tedious and time consuming uploads, downloads, and transfers is the key to reducing costs, manpower, and space promised by tapeless workflow. Audavi offers a full range of cable, bay, tower, and rack-mount solutions that can be easily customized to help streamline your workflow. From a simple cable connection that can provide instant feedback while on location, to a 4 bay desktop tower allowing access to content from multiple cartridges to a 3U rack mount duplicator capable of making 8 simultaneous copies, Audavi is dedicated to providing a “painless” transition to “tapeless”

MEDICAL IMAGING

MediaPac cartridges are the ideal solution for the efficient transport, playback, and storage of the data from today's state-of-the art medical imaging systems. As the resolution and data rate of X-ray, MRI, CT, PET, Ultrasound, and IVUS images increases the capacity and speed of the traditional optical and magneto-optical storage media is no longer sufficient. The complex data management caused by recording only a few patient records to each piece of optical media and the time lost while transferring the data at relatively slow transfer rates is driving the search for new storage options.

MediaPac cartridges are available from 40GB to 160GB allowing for convenient transport and storage of a single patient history or hundreds of images. The data transfer rate of >3GB/min minimizes time lost while recording, uploading, or downloading files. The MediaPac is a self-contained storage unit and does not require any specialized hardware to view or transfer the data. A variety of interface connection options are available, but a simple USB cable will allow you to access the data from virtually any PC. DICOM viewing software can even be loaded directly on to the MediaPac cartridge.

The integration of MediaPac cartridges with existing instrumentation is "plug 'n play" in most cases. Audavi's extensive product line provides wide range of options for connection to existing customer PACS hardware and software.
